Volland Racing invests into Projekt E

Rolf Volland’s Volland Racing is the second team to commit to the Projekt E Series, a support championship to the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship. The plan for Volland Racing is to make its series debut in December during the fourth round at the Nürburgring Müllenbachschleife in Germany and then in 2021 commit to the full series alongside its Super1600 program.

The future clearly belongs to the electric powertrains on the road, just like in racing, I’m absolutely convinced of that, and it’s just made for the fast, explosive short races in Rallycross. In my opinion, it’s the only alternative for the future. As a designer and constructor, it’s important to accept this future, and to help shape it too. As a team manager and race instructor, it is also important to me to introduce young drivers, not only from my team, to this future as well.
